The second conclusion I came to is that I'd rather work out for 2 or 3 hours every day than give up the food that I love to eat. I mean I'll try to eat smaller portions and mix in the healthy stuff that I like, but I'm not giving up pastries or bacon or juicy burgers or pizza. Just bring on the treadmill/elliptical/ARC trainer and some weights and I'll go at it for 2 hours straight several days a week. I've already decided that I'd rather have a good workout and hang out at the gym than go to work. I might be turning into a gym junkie. *shrugs* Oh well!
Friday was National Donut Day. I had no idea how I was gonna get my hands on some of these tasty treats, but then a friend of mine instagramed the line for a local donut shop (Long's Bakery, the best donuts I've ever eaten) and I jokingly asked her to pick me up half a dozen and she did. She even dropped them off at my apartment. A sweetheart for sure. I'm always surprised when people are kind enough to do such sweet things so unexpectedly.
Saturday was the Pride Parade and Festival, Indieana Handicraft Exchange, IMAF (music festival), a Kanye West Tribute and a shit ton more here in Indianapolis. It was one busy day.
I started the morning by heading downtown and catching the parade. I've caught it every year for the past 4 or 5 years. It's so much fun and it warms my heart to see people coming together in support. After the parade I headed up to the IHE/IMAF. I've wanted to vend at the IHE, but I've been scared to submit my goods. Maybe next year. I got to see a couple of friends perform at the music festival and had the most delicious ice cream. Half a scoop of mango hibiscus sorbet and half a scoop of belgian chocolate merlot. DELICIOUS!!! Afterwards I went back down to the Pride Festival to catch Mya perform. I totally forgot that she sung Ghetto Superstar. Afterwards it was back home for a quick nap and shower and then back out to catch a Kanye West tribute. I was also fortunate to catch Cyrille Aimee for free.99. Delightfully refreshing and so cute. I'd not heard of her before Saturday night. I'm totally smitten with her music. (Saturday was a day full of free concerts.) Good music and the chance to see friends I hadn't seen in a while. It was fun to talk shit and have a good laugh and be myself.
Had a short text conversation with ScruffyNerdy about my current living situation on Saturday as well. He thinks I need to move (I do). This wasn't his first time mentioning it. It's nice to know that he cares. I'm trying not to think too much into it. It's rare that guys and people in general show concern about my living situation or any other situation. I am working on it though.
Sunday morning I was hoping the job would call me and tell me I didn't have to come in. No such luck. Even though the kids are out of school it's still pretty slow at work. I'm currently on the hunt for a new job. I need more money. I'd also like to work somewhere I can be myself. My friends think my work voice is creepy. Ha!
I'm looking forward to all my days off this week.

I too am focusing more on travel these days. There are so many adventures I'd like to try. I've got a running bucket list and hopefully can slowly mark off items
mmm i'm already planning my next vacation. hahahaha...
That obstacle course sounds really fun!
And I completely agree.. experiences over "stuff" is the way to go.
I'm going through my things and getting rid of stuff as well. After a while having too many things becomes overwhelming.
