I went to Disneyland!

photo by rima of bolu by rima edits my own

I'm still waiting on my box of goodies to arrive in the mail, but I thought I'd go ahead and write up this post anyway. I'm going to do it in list formation.

Day 1 - Disneyland

  • Rima and I hit the road to Disneyland hoping that the sun would come out and thankfully it did. It was still a bit chilly though. Gaby wasn't feeling well upon waking up so she decided to meet up with us later.
  • The ticket lady wasn't very friendly, but I wasn't going to let her ruin my day. I was at Disneyland, the happiest place on earth for the first time ever...in life!!!
  • First stop, the shop to search for mini Mickey Ears. No purchase, just wanted to make sure they had them and where.
  • rides we rode - Star Tours,  Indiana Jones Adventure, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Mad Tea Party, Pirates of the Caribbean,  Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin, Space Mountain and possibly Peter Pan's Flight. My brain is fuzzy on that one.
  • food eaten - pineapple dole whip, corn dogs (while waiting in a ride line, other folks looked so jelly as we ate), churros and maybe something else. I don't recall.
  • towards the end of the day we sat down near Cinderella's Castle to wait for Gaby to show up and take a break. Howard the Duck joined us. We basked in the sun while he chilled out in the shade. I swear he knew I was talking to him. Yes, I talk to random animals.
  • We still had time before the parade so we went off to buy some goodies. I bought the mini ears I had to have and a Star Wars vinyl figure. It doesn't take much to make me happy.
  • We were able to find an awesome spot for the parade right in the front. No one to block our view.
  • After the parade we hit up the Downtown Disney store and I picked up a pin for my coworker. I contemplated a lanyard and pin for myself.
  • Dinner was ramen at What's Up Men? Yum!

Day 2 - Disney California Adventure

  • Our adventure started at Starbucks for breakfast. Basil and mozzarella panini and green juice. Yum!
  • Ticket dude was super awesome and got me a discount on my ticket since we'd been there the day before.
  • First stop, pick up a fast pass for World of Color and Radiator Springs Racers
  • ride we rode and things we saw - Radiator Springs Racers, California Screamin (1, 2, 3, SCREAM!!! w/ the lovely voice of Neil Patrick Harris), Soarin' Over California, Disney's Aladdin - A Musical Spectacular,  Games of the Boardwalk (I won a stuffed Dumbo...that I had to carry around ALL day), Googy's Sky School, Ariel's Undersea Adventure, Luigi's Flying Tires, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, Toy Story Mania, Tower of Terror. I wanted to ride Mickey's Fun Wheel, but no one wanted to ride with me.
  • food eaten - soft serve, churros, lobster nachos, corn dogs. I'd seen someone else IG lobster nachos and they looked so good I HAD to have them. They did not disappoint.
  • we ran around  Cars Land and Gaby and Rima helped me collect ALL 5 of the Cars Land buttons by answering trivia questions about the park, though some folks were nice enough to just give them to us. we also ran around the park looking for someone with a first timer button. apparently those are super hard to come by.
  • As we were waiting to ride the Radiator Springs Racers a little girl noticed my tattoos and showed her mom. She then proclaimed that when she got older she was going to get a tattoo too. Her mother made no comment. She kinda looked like she wanted to though.
  • Gaby and I competed in a couple of board walk games against each other and both won a prize. Mine a stuff Dumbo and hers a small stuffed horse from Toy Story.
  • Overhead while using the bathroom - child: but I can't go. mom: 1, 2, 3 POOP! 1, 2, 3 POOP! We ended up repeating this the rest of the day also changing out different words for poop. We even had a semi-deep discussion on whether or not the child would have to call their parent as an adult and have them recite those words to them when they couldn't go.
  • We posed as hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil for the picture on the Tower of Terror. An awesome ride.
  • Got to meet and take pictures with Minnie Mouse in her flight uniform and Donald. He had on no pants. Also saw Mater, Lightening McQueen and the Army Men from Toy Story.
  • World of Color was an amazing show! I can see why it may cause some people to be emotional. When I go back in December I will definitely be seeing it again.
  • It's hard to believe we spent about 12 hours in the park and I was surprisingly not that tired. I was red from the sun, but not really tired.
  • Dinner was at Honda something or other. Sushi!

I think I enjoyed Disney's California Adventure more than Disneyland. It seemed like there were less kids around. The rides were more fun and well DCA World of Color. I can't wait to go back in October for my birthday. I haven't been a big fan of theme parks as I've gotten older, but Disney was pretty awesome. I think it may be my most favorite park ever.

keeping in tradition - dear universe

Today's post WAS gonna be about my adventures at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, but I'm not ready yet. I want to keep those memories to myself a little bit longer. It was just so much fun. Also, I'm waiting on a package with some of my Disney stuff in it. Yeah...I kinda ended up with more stuff than I brought and needed it have some stuff shipped back to me.

(Side note: Why must it cost so much to ship things from California/the west coast to Indiana/the midwest. Ugh!)

Anywho...so I decided I need to keep in tradition with Rima and Gaby and spend my birthday at Disney and have Slater's 50/50 for my birthday so I'm planning a trip BACK to California in October (I have to remember to change my ticker back). I love California THAT much. And I have some awesome friends out there that I'd love to hang out with again.

I tweeted and posted on facebook to the Universe that I'd need some help with funding this trip. I'm selling some of my craft stash and other things to help get me back to California and clean out my apartment as well. I created a for sale page here on my blog and have been posting items for sale on my instagram and a couple of other places. I just need the Universe to send me some buyers. Come on buyers!!! I got all sorts of goodies.

Also, Mother's Day is right around the corner, so I'm back in card making mode. My goal is to make and sell 100+ Mother's Day cards. I think I sold about 65 - 70 last year, so 100+ should be easy peasy. Everyone has a mother or a mother in law or a sister in law that's a mother or an aunt that was like a mother to them or a grandmother that raised them or a best friend that's a new mother, so the potential to do more than 100 card sales is there. I had several customers last year buy two or three cards. My goal is possible.

Above is a just s sample of the cards I've made in the past. I do my best to make all the cards unique. I might remake a card in the same design, but I change up the papers and colors. If you're interested in a handmade Mother's Day card (and you should be) email me or leave me a comment with your email in it so I can contact you. I love customizing cards.

All cards are $6.00 each plus $1.95 for shipping to YOU. If you don't live in the same city/state as the recipient I will gladly mail the card directly to recipient for $1.00. You just let me know what you'd like the message inside to say and off it'll go.

So yeah, I'm selling my stuff and headed back to Cali. Buy a handmade Mother's Day card and support a small business. I'll love you long time.

LA: a day with the ladies

I didn't mention this in yesterday's post, but I've met a nice handful of people in person that I've first met online, but THIS was the first time I'd ever met any of my blogger buddies. I've been pretty lucky that I haven't been catfished. This time included.

Side note: I have no idea why, but housekeeping kept leaving me extra soap, lotion and shampoo. I clearly had enough of my own, but every time I came back from a day out, there was a bunch more. I thought about throwing it all in my bag, because you never know when you might need it, but A) I didn't wanna throw extra shit in my suitcase and B) it wasn't the best quality.

Sunday was Rima's birthday. She was on call for the week and we weren't sure until Friday night whether or not she'd have to stick close to home or she'd be able to come out to LA and hang out for the day. Thankfully one of her coworkers was able to cover her last on call shift for her and we were able to hang out all day. That's how birthday's should be spent, with friends and loved ones, not at work.

Rima and I picked up Evani from her hotel and headed to Bottega Louie for brunch. BL was packed with people, but thankfully we only had a short wait to be seated. While we waited we all drooled over the macarons, beignets and other sweet treats tempting us in the pastry case.

I ended up picking up a box of five macarons and a plain beignet (my first ever, delicious). I really wanted a box of 13 but I couldn't justify spending that much no matter how delicious these yummy treats were. I definitely plan to go back. Check out those colors and the pretty packaging. My crafty self plans to do something fun with that box.

Everything on the menu looked good (check out their website above) and I had a hard time deciding what to eat. In the end I decided on the Italian Scramble. I was still in a breakfast mood. Evani had some delicious looking ravioli and Rima had the Croque Madame that looked and tasted delicious (she couldn't finish it so Evani and I did). Rima also ordered a chocolate souffle because she said we had to try it. It was so good I can't even begin to describe it.

After brunch we headed to the Santa Monica pier and met up with Gaby to take a nice walk on the beach (one of my goals was to make it to the beach and I was wondering if I'd get the chance). The water was shockingly cold, but we got used to it. The beach had such a calming effect on me. I wish we'd brought a blanket so we could've sat in the sand and just enjoyed listening to the waves crash on the beach. It was so beautiful. I really miss the beach. It's definitely pulling me back to the left coast.

I found this little guy on the beach and it reminded me of my friend Blake Allee's song, Wine and Dine a Dinosaur so I had to snap a pic and rescue it and stored it in my bag.

I'm not good at having my picture taken. The girls told me to throw up the peace sign like all Asians do, but I went for the thumbs up instead. Ha!

The light coming in under the pier was beautiful. I think the only bad thing that happened at the pier was getting a splinter in my toe. Thankfully I brought my tweezers with me so I took care it.

After getting attacked by a big wave we decided it was time to grab a snack. So we headed to Urth Caffe for a yummy treat. I got to mark another place off my list from my California To Do passport. I opted for the Matcha Infused Tirimasu and a glass of white jasmine tea. I think all of us would agree this it was delicious. I wish I could've taken it home with me. We sat and talked a bit and relaxed before deciding to see if we could get some thrifting done before dinner. We needed to space out our eating too. Ha!

Evani was on the hunt for a jean jacket (Rima and I both had ours), but was unsuccessful. Gaby did find this awesome jacket, but decided to leave it for someone else. Rima also found an awesome brightly colored bolero (WITH SHOULDER PADS) that went home with her. After our Goodwill trip it was time for Evani to meet up with her Rob to head back to their hotel. I really wish she could've had dinner with us. :( We snapped a few pics and said our goodbyes.

Rima, Gaby and I headed to Pasadena for dinner at Slater's 50/50. There was a small discussion about which burger place was better (Umami Burger or Slater's) during snack time at Urth Caffe and they pretty much left it up to me to decide where we should eat since it'd be my first time to either place. I really wanted Umami because they had a lot of good reviews, but then Rima told me that 50/50 stood for their half ground beef and half ground bacon burger patties. I love bacon so I couldn't resist. They also had Vampire Dip that I wanted to try that someone had suggested and it was on my passport list.

We walked around Pasadena for a bit before heading to Slater's for dinner. Pasadena was lovely. They even had crosswalks where ALL the cars stop and you can cross on the diagonal, they need those in more places.

Slater's did not disappoint. The Vampire Dip was a garlicy, creamy bowl of yummy goodness and the burger I created was AMAZING (I forget what all it had on it, but Rima has a picture of what I chose on her blog, I know it had gouda and chipotle mayo on it though). I didn't originally order it with the Vampire Dip as the cheese, but ended up adding some from what was leftover from our appetizer. I plan to try to make it on my own. The burger as well.

I also decided to partake in a Wells Banana Bread beer. It was good, but it made me feel like crap after. I really need to figure out what it is in certain beers that makes me feel that way. I can drink Stella with no problem, but others...ugh.

After dinner we headed home for some rest. The next two days would be filled with Disney fun!

vacations all I ever wanted

I don't even know where to start. I had a great time in California. It was AMAZING! I decided to break up my vacation into three posts. That seemed to make the most sense to me. Today's post will be the first few days of vacation. I mostly relaxed and hung out.

I want to start by saying that when I travel alone and I'm out alone in an unfamiliar place I tend not to pull out my camera and take many pictures. I don't want to look like a tourist and have someone try to swindle me or put myself in danger, so I don't really have many pictures of the first few days. *shrugs* At least I have the memories.

Wednesday

Because I wasn't paying attention when I was purchasing my ticket, my flight out didn't leave until 7 in the evening. I think this was actually for the better. I got to hang out with friends Tuesday night and spend all Wednesday morning and afternoon packing and cleaning up. I'm a procrastinator. It also meant the first part of my flight wasn't that full. I ended up with a whole row to myself. Yes!

I wasn't so lucky the second part of my flight. The whole row was booked and I was next to someone who hogged the arm rest and kept elbowing me in the side. I sucked it up because I had an aisle seat and I could at least lean into the aisle. I don't particularly care to fly. It is what it is though. One of these days I'll be able to afford business/first class and then it won't be an issue.

I got into the hotel at about midnight (the cab driver was like, you're gonna pay cash right! I was like, uh yeah. It was weird.) and proceeded to change into my pajamas, turn on Cartoon Network (I always watch CN when I stay in a hotel since I don't have cable) and passed the fuck out. It was already about 3AM here in Indiana and I was tired.

Thursday

I woke up bright and early at about 630 or what my body thought was 930 and laid in the oh so comfy bed for a couple of hours trying to figure out if I wanted to work out or skip it and spend the whole day taking it easy. I opted for the latter.

I finally got out of bed to grab some breakfast since I was starving and then jumped in the shower. I was assigned a handicap room so the WHOLE bathroom was a shower. I don't know who laid the floor in the bathroom, but it needs to be redone. You'd think that if the entire bathroom is the shower that the floor would slope into the middle of the bathroom so the water doesn't run out into the room. Nope...it sloped out so that it ran into the room. Two days in I figured out how to face the shower head so that I didn't have a room full of water. Good thing the room had hardwood floors.

Rima, Gaby and I had dinner plans that evening so I needed to find something to keep myself occupied during the day. It really wasn't sunny enough (for me) to sit and hang out at the pool and I had a short shopping list I wanted to take care. Mostly things I could've gotten here, but hey I was on vacation, maybe the mall had some fun stuff.

I normally don't care for the mall and am usually in and out within an hour or two, but I ended up spending about 5 hours walking around in there. I think I looped around it at least twice. The first time to find lunch and see what stores they had and the second actually going INTO the stores to shop.

Before I made it to the food court for lunch I was side tracked by the Sanrio store. If you've been following me for any amount of time then you know that Hello Kitty is my homegirl. I was in the Sanrio store for AT LEAST 30 minutes just walking around in circles checking everything out and trying to figure out what I was bringing home with me. They had all sorts of stuff, but as I get older I've become more selective about the things I buy. I ended up leaving with some stationary and a reusable tumbler. I really wanted a new bag, but they were overpriced for my liking and I just couldn't do it.

I also picked up a couple of things from Old Navy (I had a coupon), a new pair of white Chucks (I've always wanted a pair) and got myself a pedicure after I had some lunch. Then I headed back to the hotel to wait for Rima to get off work so we could have dinner.

We almost didn't have dinner. Rima was on call and had been up since like 4AM and then got caught in traffic due to an accident on the highway. At the last minute she texted me and we hit up Kula Revolving Sushi. Sushi. Yum!

This place was fun. Why doesn't Indianapolis have one? You can sit at a table or a bar and there's a little track that travels past all the places people are sitting and you just grab whatever types of sushi and other items you'd like to eat. They have little signs that tell you what you're grabbing and each plate is $2 each. $2 EACH!!!  Each plate had 2 - 4 pieces on it. I had 5 plates. I could've probably had one more, but I was kinda full. The guy next to us had 13 plates. That's about 39 pieces!!! I don't know where he put it all. I wanted to go back for lunch the next day, but I had other food places I needed to explore. I definitely plan to hit them up again next time I'm in town.

Friday

I got up at 630 AGAIN! I laid in bed for a while and then finally pulled myself out of bed, put on my gym clothes and went to work out. It felt good to work out. I worked up a good sweat. Afterwards it was about time for lunch so I showered, got dressed and went walking (more exercise). The nice thing about where I was staying was that everything was about 2 miles from the hotel so I could walk.

I walked up to Green Mango Thai Bistro for lunch and as I was walking up I noticed there was a Fatburger right next door. I so wanted to eat both, but my mission was Thai food and I'd had Fatburger before when I was in Atlanta.

I love curry and there Jade Coconut Curry was delicious. I usually make red curry at home. Actually I just made a huge pot this weekend because I had to have so more curry. I love Asian food.

After lunch I decided to walk back around the long way back to the hotel to walk off some of the food and see what else was in the area. As I was walking back to the hotel Gaby tweeted about going to a John Legend concert that was near by Saturday evening and was looking for someone to accompany her. I told her I'd check my budget and let her know. Turns out I had over budgeted for food and had some extra spending money so as soon as I got back to the hotel I purchased a ticket and it was on. This would be my 3rd time seeing John Legend in concert.

I spent the rest of the day hanging out at the hotel checking schedules for Saturday and what not. I'd wanted to go into LA on Friday, but it wasn't cost effective. The weekend pass for the train is $10, but it didn't start until Friday evening so I decided a super quick trip on Saturday morning would have to do.

Dinner was from the hotel cafe and it sucked balls. It was basically microwave appetizers and some of my food was cold. I was kinda shitty about it. I really wanted a burger and the one place I had a delivery menu for didn't have burgers. Just my luck the next morning I found another delivery menu in my room that had burgers on it.

Saturday

I woke up early again and worked out and then got ready to head into the city. The train was due to leave the station at 1015. I headed to the front desk at 930 to grab the shuttle to the train station and the front desk guy said he'd be there at 1000. Ten rolled around and the shuttle was no where to be found. He wasn't going to get back to the hotel until 1015. I was pissed and rescheduled to catch it at 1115 so I'd have plenty of time to catch the 1150 train. That cut down my time in the city by A LOT. But I really wanted to get into the city.

Guess who showed up at 1110 and then disappeared but said he'd be back in time. Ha! The shuttle driver was late again and then drove to the station like a maniac. I wanted to cuss his ass out. I felt like it might be a sign that I shouldn't head into the city, but I went anyway.

Since the shuttle driver was late it really changed what I'd be able to do in the city. I basically only had time to grab something to eat and then head back to the train station so I could head to San Bernadino to meet up with Gaby. I really wanted to walk around Little Tokyo and find some cute little kawaii/hello kitty things and some beauty masks.

I had lunch at Daikokuya in Little Tokyo. A small little hole in the wall place that Gaby suggested. She and Rima had eaten here after they'd gone to see The Ellen Degeneres show the first time. It was packed! I was probably 12th in line for this little spot and people kept signing in to eat there. I told myself I'd only wait so long before I'd have to find somewhere else to eat if I wanted to make it back to the train on time. Thankfully right as I was about to get to my cutoff time they called my name and  I took a seat at the bar.

I opted for the Daikoku Ramen with a pork cutlet bowl. I don't normally eat pork unless it's pepperoni or bacon. I think what happened later was my punishment for eating the pork. It was DELICIOUS though! The line might be long to get a spot to eat, but it's definitely worth it. I'd for sure stop in there again for lunch or dinner.

Afterwards I high tailed it Big Man Bakes for a cupcake. I really wanted some macarons, but couldn't find any place near by, but was later told there was a place. *shrugs* I judge cupcake shops by their Red Velvet cupcakes. Theirs were delicious. Nice and moist and it didn't crumble and fall apart all over the place.

As I was making my way back to the train station I thought I was being smart and tucked the leftover container snuggly in my bag and speed walked back to the station. All of a sudden my butt started to feel a little warm. I looked and the top of the container and opened and was spilling out into the plastic bag and my bag. I had on WHITE shorts! Thankfully my dress was longer enough to cover the nice tan spot on my butt caused by the ramen juice. I ended up chucking my leftovers and attempting to clean up in the bathroom since I wouldn't be able to head back to the hotel to change. I got most of it cleaned up and didn't smell too much like ramen.

I met up with Gaby at the San Bernadino train station and we hit the road to Indio to see John Legend...but not without a little hiccup. Gaby's friend Edwin couldn't find his wallet when we stopped to get gas so we had to drive back to his car to see if it was there. It wasn't. Thankfully he was still able to get into the concert without it. Funny thing is, his wallet was in Gaby's car the ENTIRE time. Ha!

The concert was great. I was all the way in the back, but that was okay. I love listening to John Legend live.  Music was making me emotional. (I'd cried on the train to meet up with Gaby when a song came on my iPod.) And I nearly cried at the concert. I kept thinking who goes on vacation and randomly buys a last minute concert ticket. (This girl apparently, but it was fun.) Afterwards we walked around the casino/resort for a bit and I grabbed a slice of pizza before we hit the road.

Even though the day started out not as I planned, it ended well. I was thankful for that. I had a great time, ate good food and got to hang out with new friends.

This post was much longer than I expected it to be. Oops! I might be a little too wordy, but hey, this is like my journal too. Two more posts to go.

I miss California. I wish I were still there. I definitely have to get back ASAP!

*waves hi* I'm back!

This might be my favorite picture that I took while I was on vacation. I'm not quite ready to be back from vacation. I really need to get my butt in gear and move back to California or find a job that allows me to travel there A LOT and other places as well. Anywho, I plan to write a proper post or two or three shortly. I still need to get back in the swing of things.

But you should know I for sure that I had a GREAT time hanging out with Rima, Evani and Gaby while I was out there. It was like we're just old friends who are separated by distance.

Hello Kitty Luggage, California here I come!

via CuteSense
I'm super excited to be heading to California in April. It can't get here soon enough. I'd been perusing the Sanrio website checking out there luggage for the past couple of weeks trying to justify spending $150 on a new suitcase, but couldn't do it.

Then I'm checking my email on Saturday and instead of automatically deleting all the emails for the discount shopping sites (since I'm still not shopping) I scroll through an email from ideeli and see that they're starting a Hello Kitty luggage campaign and I decide to check it out.

I found the beauty above for a mere $85 on ideeli. It retails on the CuteSense site for over $300 and a few other sites for over $100. Do I need new luggage? No. But there was no way I could pass up this deal. I justified the the purchase further by stating to myself that it'll be great for when I'm doing craft shoes. I can easily pack up my good inside and they'll be easier to transport AND it gives me the motivation to travel MORE. I'll be getting a lot of use out of it. A LOT! Let's go somewhere.

via Jace's IG

In other news: The picture above is from Dilla Day. (not sure who Dilla is - here's his wiki page. He was a great music producer and worked with a ton of artists. He died from a rare blood disease and possibly lupus). A friend of mine throws a big party every year to celebrate him and his music. It was a great time. I got to see a lot of my friends perform a bunch of my favorite songs and Illa J (Dilla's brother) also came down w/ Frank Nitt to perform as well.

Instead of my normal jeans and tee that I'd normally throw on I put on a skirt and sweater (I have no idea why the change) and had several friends awkwardly tell me I looked hot. One friend had never complimented me in the 7 years I've known him. It was funny. Big hair was a hit too. I had a few people not recognize me because of it. I clearly don't wear my hair down enough.

I took a lot of naps this weekend. I don't know why I've been so tired. I kind of think it might be because I haven't been getting a lot of protein. Is that a thing? I don't know. Either way, I've got about 5 more days until I get to eat again. My neighbors are killing me cooking fried chicken. I want some sooooo bad!

Although my budget for California is pretty much set, I'm still trying to save up more money just in case AND because I want to purge my craft stash of all the things I'm not really using anymore. I listed a bunch more stuff on eBay last night. Take a look. One person's trash is another's treasure. I might also be saving up for an iPad mini to use on my trip. Shhh...don't tell. Ha!

*This posts contains invite links to ideeli. I wasn't asked to write this post, but I'm sharing my link because they do have a lot of good shopping deals. They also offer flat $9.95 shipping on your first item and free shipping for the next 30 days after that purchase.

try, try again

"Forget failure, or any other outcome whatsoever. If you try something – to improve yourself, to eliminate debt, to lose weight, to make a relationship work, to make the world a better place, etc. – you have already achieved something brilliant regardless of the end result. Trying is always enough.

If things don’t work out the way you had hoped, hold your head up and be proud that you gave it your best shot. Then try again. Ultimately, each mistake teaches you something new about your goal and yourself. There is no failure except in never trying again. It is always the courage to continue that counts in the end."

via @marcandangel
There's really nothing I can add to that. All those things you're afraid to do because you're afraid to fail...do them! You're failure, if it happens...is a success. This is a pep talk for myself and for anyone who might need it. So much I want to do in life that I'm afraid to do. I'm taking small steps towards these goals though. It's not easy though, but then who said it would be.

In other news, I've got 3 of my 5 February goals complete. I'd like to go ahead and complete number 4 this weekend. I just need to find someone who wants to grab a burger (veggie) with me. This month I will have completed all 5. Woo! Eating vegetarian is going well. I don't miss meat, but do occasionally crave chicken fingers/sandwiches. Burgers? Not so much. I could probably start to cut red meat out of my diet, not that I eat it very often anyway.

Also, I'm slowly but surely planning my trip to Cali in April. I can't decide how long I want to spend in San Francisco. I think the my time will be better spent in the LA area. Disneyland, Little Tokyo, good eats and things like that. So right now I'm thinking 3 days in San Francisco and then the rest of the time in LA. I'm super excited to go to Disneyland. I'm 33 and I've never been. I'm also still trying to sell everything I can so that I have plenty of spending money. I'd also really like this Hello Kitty suitcase for my trip. It'd be so much fun. I plan to AT LEAST get this HK luggage tag.

Lastly, I'm really enjoying this Q&A a day 5 Year Journal that Rima from Bolu by Rima sent me for my birthday. This is the question from the other day. This is how I really feel. Everyone around me (including myself) is crazy, it's just about how well we mother fuckers hide that shit. I don't think I hide mine well. I'm told I'm crazy often enough. I'm okay with that.

BLIZZARD!!!

And not of the DQ variety, though I could go for one of those right about now. So if you follow me on Instagram (@chickenb00) it's clear that, we've gotten a ton of snow here today. Enough snow that they called me right before I got to work and said I didn't have to come in. Woo SNOW DAY! Here are some pictures.

First there was this at 830, I'd only been outside about 10 minutes. The visibility was nothing. Instead of hopping off the bus when the job called I just stayed on and rode it all the way around. It was safer that way. I was on the bus for about 2.5 hours. The bus was surprisingly on time. Usually the weather puts them behind schedule. I had to pee so bad when I got home. I almost didn't make it.

Then I got this lovely package in the mail from my cousin. Filipino baked goods from Goldilocks Bakery. Yum!!! I haven't had these in 6 years, the last time I was in California. I've only had one piece so far. I could've done some damage, but I'm going to ration it the best I can since I don't know when I'll get some more of these yummy good things.

And then I got tired of them talking about the weather on TV so I went outside and made a snow angel. I stayed outside for about 30 minutes. Playing outside in the snow by yourself is boring. I wish my friends lived closer so we could've had a snowball fight or something. We have a nice empty lot near my building that is perfect for snowmen and snowball fights.

Also, this is my 499th PUBLISHED post. (I've got plenty of drafts sitting around.) I kinda want to make sure my 500th is a good one and post it before the end of the year. I'm thinking it'll have a giveaway of some sort. Just not sure what yet. If anyone is interested in contributing something, let me know. I think I'm going to make some pizza wraps and do some cleaning and crafting. If it weren't getting dark, I'd go play in the snow some more.

(Okay, I was wrong, this is my 500th post. Not sure how that happened. Anywho...I'm still going to do a giveaway in my next post. How the heck did that slip past me. I was watching.)
