Hello Kitty Luggage, California here I come!

via CuteSense
I'm super excited to be heading to California in April. It can't get here soon enough. I'd been perusing the Sanrio website checking out there luggage for the past couple of weeks trying to justify spending $150 on a new suitcase, but couldn't do it.

Then I'm checking my email on Saturday and instead of automatically deleting all the emails for the discount shopping sites (since I'm still not shopping) I scroll through an email from ideeli and see that they're starting a Hello Kitty luggage campaign and I decide to check it out.

I found the beauty above for a mere $85 on ideeli. It retails on the CuteSense site for over $300 and a few other sites for over $100. Do I need new luggage? No. But there was no way I could pass up this deal. I justified the the purchase further by stating to myself that it'll be great for when I'm doing craft shoes. I can easily pack up my good inside and they'll be easier to transport AND it gives me the motivation to travel MORE. I'll be getting a lot of use out of it. A LOT! Let's go somewhere.

In other news: The picture above is from Dilla Day. (not sure who Dilla is - here's his wiki page. He was a great music producer and worked with a ton of artists. He died from a rare blood disease and possibly lupus). A friend of mine throws a big party every year to celebrate him and his music. It was a great time. I got to see a lot of my friends perform a bunch of my favorite songs and Illa J (Dilla's brother) also came down w/ Frank Nitt to perform as well.

Instead of my normal jeans and tee that I'd normally throw on I put on a skirt and sweater (I have no idea why the change) and had several friends awkwardly tell me I looked hot. One friend had never complimented me in the 7 years I've known him. It was funny. Big hair was a hit too. I had a few people not recognize me because of it. I clearly don't wear my hair down enough.

I took a lot of naps this weekend. I don't know why I've been so tired. I kind of think it might be because I haven't been getting a lot of protein. Is that a thing? I don't know. Either way, I've got about 5 more days until I get to eat again. My neighbors are killing me cooking fried chicken. I want some sooooo bad!

Although my budget for California is pretty much set, I'm still trying to save up more money just in case AND because I want to purge my craft stash of all the things I'm not really using anymore. I listed a bunch more stuff on eBay last night. Take a look. One person's trash is another's treasure. I might also be saving up for an iPad mini to use on my trip. Shhh...don't tell. Ha!

*This posts contains invite links to ideeli. I wasn't asked to write this post, but I'm sharing my link because they do have a lot of good shopping deals. They also offer flat $9.95 shipping on your first item and free shipping for the next 30 days after that purchase.

EEEEEEEEEEE! Yeah, girl, 85 is a total steal. When I was working in Sanrio years ago, those hard luggages sold for 210 or something. You will definitely be motiavted to travel more with your cute suitcase!
