Let's Get Physical - Octobeard

Oh hey, guess what time it is...yup time to link up with Simply Evani for Let's Get Physical.

I did a piss poor job this month on doing accomplishing any of my goals from September. I don't even have a good excuse, so I'm not gonna make any. How's that for accountability? Also, I like how Evani made graphics for her confessions, facts and goals and thought I'd give it a try. I like it and I don't care if you do or not. So let's get to it:

My birthday is at the end of the month and I'd normally take that chance to indulge in all kinds of foodie craziness, but I plan not too. I want to limit myself to one indulgent birthday meal and a cupcake. We'll see how that goes. I'd like to see a change in my weight loss ticker over there on the side. Okay ladies, help me stay motivated. Tweet me. Feel free to make me feel guilty if it looks like I'm falling off the wagon.

Now head on over to Simply Evani and come link up with us.

We're about the same weight and I've lost the first 5 pretty easily but I have been teetering for a couple months now. I probably shouldn't be commenting while eating some potato chips. But, you can do it!! We'll help each other out :)

I find that making changes gradually really helps out, that way you're not hit with EVERYTHING seemingly all at once. I was looking to drop some weight at around this time last year, and I found that what helped the most was slowly changing my diet and just easing into working out. At first, I allowed "cheat" meals on Mondays, Wednesdays, & the weekends, then I gradually tapered off so that my diet was strict during the workweek and only on the weekends did I indulge. As for working out... well. I hate running with a passion, but being in the military, I HAVE to do PT with everyone I work woth, so that kind of solved itself. However, that's just a matter of finding someone who will hold you accountable, and that's a huge motivator. Try finding a walking/running buddy, even if it's online, that you can report your workout to.

Hope you can accomplish your goals this month! I'll actually be right there with you, lol. I'm moving to a new base next month, and I've gotten caught up in the crazy while moving. Gotta get back on track!

Good luck! :)

Look on the bright side, you ran a 5k! That's an accomplishment right there!

Your graphics are CUTE girl, I'm going to start enlisting you to help me with Photoshop! And I feel ya, I feel like this month we all kinda tapered off so maybe we should do a midway check in unofficially? Anyhoot, I drink a ton of water because I stock myself up with it, in the morning I'll even grab myself 2 cups of water (in 2 separate containers) because I find I'll be too lazy to even get up and get more. Haha the more accessible water is, the more I find I'll drink it! And I was telling Nina maybe we could all choose 1 day a week we all go running/walking and hold each other accountable that day!? Thanks for always linking up and supporting girlfran!

I'm kind of in the same boat, I didn't do a 5k, but I was doing great with running/hitting the gym daily, then just kind of slacked off. I hate going out in the mornings now that it's staying darker later, but I really need to get my butt in gear and maybe head to the gym instead of running outside or something. Good luck with your goals this month, I'll definitely try to keep you on track via twitter and you can feel free to do the same for me girl!

I like your graphics! I also tend to overdo it on the sweets. If only they didn't taste so darn good.

so you don't care, but I really like your graphics (I'm sure you're happy to hear this at least a little bit. :P). I also like your excuses for not running. it's too cold/dark are my favorite to use.
I made a habit of eating my daily dose of cookies/sweets with morning coffee - I just don't feel guilty about it if I eat them in the morning. for later cravings I try to choose healthier alternatives. but I'm sure you can take a day off for your b-day. :)

At least you're aware of your downfalls, and you set reasonable targets. YOU CAN DO IT!
