oh, hai!

This picture has nothing to do with this post. I just wanted to post it.

Hey party people! It's starting to get uncomfortably hot in my apartment. It makes me a bit tired and miserable. Summer pretty much just snuck up on us. What happened to spring? I'm not ready for this yet. I need someone to gift me an A/C unit and a portable washer and dryer.

Anywho, not a lot going on here. I sold a handful of Mother's Day cards, but not as many as I would have liked. I did have a friend contact me a couple of days after Mother's Day because he still needed a card because his mother refused to accept a Hallmark card from him. Customer for life. I thought it was pretty funny when he told me. It makes me fell all warm and fuzzy when customers come back to me and say the recipients loved their cards. That's part of why I make them.

Not much else going on around these parts. Just going to work and coming home and being a bum. I always have good intention to clean things up, pack up boxes and what not and then I start playing Candy Crush or watching YouTube videos or end up taking a too long nap and nothing gets done. Kinda lame.

I HAVE started waking up early to go walking/running a couple of times a week. As funny as it sounds I actually hop on the bus to a trail we have that runs through the city. I do about 3 miles on the trail and then hop on the bus back home. I could easily walk to the trail, but it's a sucky neighborhood.

I need to make a workout mix. What I'm currently listening to is kind of mellow. I'm not sure if it affects my speed, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does. Also, I've started using an app called GymPact (in conjunction with RunKeeper). You state how many times a week you are committed to working out and then how much you will pay if you miss a workout. If you don't miss any of your workouts during the week you don't owe anything AND you get paid for every day you worked out. Your payment comes from all the other people who missed a workout or two or three. Pretty cool I think. We'll see how it works out.

Oh, also we've got a new ASM at work. I haven't met her yet. I'm always weary of new management. The last two ASM's both lasted less than a year each. We've also seen a lot of supervisors and peons come and go too. I've never worked somewhere with so much turnover. I'd like put in my two weeks, but I don't currently have anything else lined up. Got to be smart about it.

Yeah, that's pretty much it over here, how about what's going on over there?

I always dreaded getting new management, you just never know how they will mesh with everyone.

I haven't seen you in a bajillion years! (I don't think I've seen anyone in a coon's age. I've always wanted to use that phrase! lol No clue what it means besides a long ass time!) It's hot as Hades in our upstairs, too. Sweat city. :( I commend you for walking/running! I am so bad about it. I tell myself that gardening counts but that's a lie. This shit I do now. Uh uh. New management sucks balls!! Okay, most of the time. Usually someone trying to prove a point. We need a date and soon!
